Let's get your number moved — the right way.

Switching carriers usually goes sideways for one silly reason: one little detail doesn't match, and the whole thing bounces. Don't worry — that's exactly what I'm here for. I'll walk you through it one step at a time, and your number stays yours the whole way.

1
Tell me who you're leaving
I'll instantly know what they need.
2
I'll show you what to grab
Your account number, transfer PIN, and the one setting to switch off first — and exactly where to find each.
3
You enter your details
I'll check them for the mistakes that trip people up.

A clean checklist to hand your new carrier. Done.
✓Your old line keeps working until the transfer completes — expect a few minutes' gap while the new SIM activates.
✓Don't cancel your old plan yet — I'll tell you exactly when it's safe.
🔒Your phone number, account number, transfer PIN, IMEI and ZIP are checked on your own device. They are never sent to Digit Relay or stored on any server. We never submit a port for you.

What is "porting"? It just means moving your existing phone number from one carrier to another. You keep the same number — calls and texts keep working.

Why do ports fail? Mismatched info. Your new carrier asks your old carrier "can I have this number?" — and the old carrier only says yes if your account number, transfer PIN, name, and address match their records exactly. One typo and it's rejected.

A common mistake: using your regular account password instead of the special transfer PIN. They're different — and I'll show you how to get the right one.

Another common mistake: forgetting to turn off "number lock" / "port protection" first. Most carriers block transfers until you switch it off. I'll flag this for your carrier specifically.

How long does it take? Usually a few hours once you submit — sometimes up to a day. Your old line keeps working until the switch completes; expect a few minutes' gap while the new SIM activates.

Independent guidance. Digit Relay helps you prepare your number transfer. We don't submit ports for you and we can't access carrier records or guarantee a transfer will be accepted — only your carriers can. Keep your current line active until your transfer is confirmed.
